    **Effective Date**
    This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) shall come into effect on **01 July 2026** upon approval by the management of **Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Limited (BMTF)**. Upon its implementation, the provisions of this SOP shall be mandatory and applicable to all users, technical support personnel, and other concerned individuals associated with the **Residential Internet (RESNET) Service** managed by the **Administrative Division (IT Cell) of BMTF**. BMTF management reserves the right to amend, modify, update, add to, or remove any provision, sub-provision, package, pricing structure, or policy contained in this SOP at any time, as deemed necessary in response to operational requirements and changing circumstances.

    **Special Terms and Conditions**

  • 1. All internet packages are applicable for 24-hour usage.
  • 2. Users must notify the IT Cell in advance for any package upgrade, downgrade, or change.
  • 3. Monthly bills must be paid within the stipulated payment period.
  • 4. If any bill remains unpaid beyond the due date, the internet connection may be automatically suspended or disconnected until the outstanding dues are cleared.
  • 5. BMTF management reserves the right to revise or modify internet packages, pricing, and service terms and conditions at any time based on network capacity, operational costs, administrative requirements, or other relevant considerations.
  • 6. For new internet connections, users shall be responsible for providing the required router and Optical Network Unit (ONU).

    **General Internet Usage Policy**

  • 1. The internet connection provided by BMTF shall be used only for lawful, ethical, and legitimate purposes.
  • 2. No user shall resell, share, redistribute, or extend their internet connection to any individual, household, organization, or third party without prior approval from the BMTF authority.
  • 3. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
    • Downloading, distributing, or sharing illegal software, movies, music, or any other copyrighted content without proper authorization;
    • Engaging in software piracy or any piracy-related activities;
    • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data through hacking, cracking, or similar activities;
    • Participating in cybercrime, online fraud, or any activity that violates applicable laws and regulations;
    • Creating, distributing, or transmitting malware, viruses, or other malicious software.
  • 4. Each user is responsible for ensuring the security of their own router, Wi-Fi network, and access credentials. Sharing or disclosing passwords to unauthorized persons is strongly discouraged.
  • 5. To maintain network security, ensure service quality, facilitate fair bandwidth allocation, and prevent misuse, the BMTF Administrative Division (IT Cell) may implement bandwidth management, traffic control, and network monitoring measures whenever deemed necessary.
  • 6. In the event of internet misuse, violation of these policies, or activities that pose a security risk, BMTF management reserves the right to take appropriate administrative action, including temporary suspension or permanent termination of the internet connection.

    **Service Policy**

  • 1. All users shall comply with the internet packages, service terms and conditions, and pricing structure prescribed by the BMTF Administrative Division.
  • 2. Monthly subscription fees and any other approved charges must be paid within the stipulated payment period.
  • 3. No user shall change their subscribed package, transfer their connection, resell internet services, or provide internet access to any third party without prior approval from the competent authority.
  • 4. Users are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to BMTF is accurate and up to date. Any changes to such information must be promptly communicated to the IT Cell.
  • 5. BMTF management reserves the right to temporarily suspend or disconnect internet services in the event of non-payment or delayed payment beyond the prescribed deadline.
  • 6. Internet services may be temporarily interrupted due to technical faults, scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, or network upgrade activities. Users are expected to extend their cooperation in such circumstances.
  • 7. Based on user requirements, network capacity, operational considerations, or administrative decisions, BMTF management reserves the right to revise, modify, or update internet packages, pricing structures, bandwidth allocations, and service policies at any time.
  • 8. Any user found violating these policies, engaging in unlawful activities, or compromising network security may have their internet service temporarily suspended or permanently terminated.
  • 9. No additional networking equipment, servers, hosting services, or commercial internet-related services may be installed or operated without prior approval from the BMTF Administrative Division (IT Cell).
  • 10. All users shall use the internet service in accordance with this SOP, directives issued by BMTF management, and all applicable laws and regulations.

How to pay your bill

Pay your bill by following just a few simple steps.

  • Browse the Portal

    a. Open any web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge etc).
    b. In the address bar, type: https://net.bmtf.com.bd/

  • Login or Register

    a. Navigate to the Login Menu.
    b. Enter your Username and Password.

    i. Example: User: 017xxxxxxxx/018xxxxxxxx

  • If you don't have an account:

    i. Click Register.

    ii. Fill in the required fields.

    iii. After your successful registration, login to your account.

  • Buy a Package

    a. Go to Buy Package / Order Package.
    b. Select your desired internet package.
    c. Complete your purchase securely on the online payment gateway.

  • Check Activation

    a. After payment, go to My Packages / Activation Pack.
    b. Confirm your purchased package is activated.

INTERNET ACTIVATION (ROUTER)

Using a Laptop (Web UI)

  • Connection Procedure

    a. Plug the Internet cable (from ISP) into the router WAN (blue) port.
    b. Connect your laptop to any LAN port on the router with an Ethernet cable (recommended) or connect to the router Wi-Fi.
    c. Open web UI (Example with TP Link)
    d. In a browser go to http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1 depending on router model).
    e. If that fails, open Command Prompt on your laptop and run ipconfig. Find the Default Gateway and open that IP in the browser.
    f. Log in
    g. Enter the admin username and password. (Default on many TP-Link router: admin / admin. If it was changed and you don't know it, a factory reset will restore defaults.)

  • Quick Setup (recommended for most users)

    a. If the Quick Setup wizard appears: click "Next" until it asks for Internet/WAN connection type.
    b. Select PPPoE.
    c. Enter PPPoE Username and Password (exactly as provided by us).
    d. Connection Mode: Connect Automatically / Keep Alive.
    e. Click "Save" -> "Next" -> "Apply" and wait for the router to connect.

  • Manual (if no wizard)

    a. Go to Advanced (if your UI shows Basic/Advanced).
    b. Open Network -> Internet or Network -> WAN (menu name varies by firmware).
    c. Under WAN / Connection Type choose PPPoE.
    d. Enter Username and Password.
    e. Click "Save" -> "Apply".

  • Configure PPPoE on Windows 10 (Laptop)

    a. Open your laptop and connect it to your router/modem with a LAN cable.
    b. Click "Start Menu" -> "Settings" -> "Network & Internet".
    c. Select "Dial-up" -> Set up a new connection.
    d. Choose "Connect to the Internet" -> Click "Next".
    e. Select "Broadband" (PPPoE).
    f. Enter the PPPoE Username & Password provided (same as in your customer portal).
    g. Check Remember Password (optional).
    h. Click "Connect".
